My Hero - Jim Cummins

I was able to travel to Chicago for a bilingual conference, compliments of Pearson publishing group. The featured speaker was Jim Cummins, a great linguist that I have read about over and over for the past 5 years. He impressed us with his presentation, I just wish he would have talked all day!

We were supposed to have a car waiting for us to take us to the airport to catch our early flight. After taking this picture, Dr. Cummins walked out to the car parked outside. We figured that it must have been his but later learned that he actually took our ride to the airport. Needless to say we missed our flight, the next flight was delayed and we didn't get home until midnight! Was the picture worth it???
